I cannot see a course I am studying on under My courses

Question:

I cannot see a course I am studying on under My courses.

Answer:

When did you log into Moodle for the first time?

Less than 24 hours ago?

Students are now enrolled automatically on their courses based on the information held in the student records system by Student Data Services. The integration runs once a day, overnight, so it will be 24 hours after logging in for the first time before you can see your courses. Check again in 24 hours.

More than 24 hours ago?

Students should then see their courses from the My courses dropdown list at the top of the page, on the front page of the VLE, from the My home link on the top left, or on the Navigation block:

  • Your programme site should appear towards the top of the list. The full name of the programme is usually displayed after the course code.

  • Your module sites should appear next, usually with the current academic year at the top, and previous years beneath this. The short name is the module code, followed by the academic year, then the location.

If you cannot see all of the relevant module and programme sites under the My courses area, (24 hours after logging in for the first time) then you need to contact either your tutor or IT Helpdesk, who can check your enrolment records on the student records system.
