Keeping You Safe

• The college IT system is for learning purposes
• The college will check you are safe on the internet
• Be cautious when giving out your name, phone number or address online
• Do not use offensive websites
• Only meet people from the internet if your tutor agrees
• Tell a member of staff immediately if you see an offensive website or receive an email or message that you are worried about

Respecting Other People

• All IT messages should be responsible
• Do not use offensive language
• Do not try to log on using somebody else's details
• Photos and film of people at college should not be used outside of college
• It is ok to use social media sites but not in classrooms
• Give up a college computer if you are asked to by a member of staff

Respecting the College IT Systems

• Do not connect your laptop to the college network using a cable
• Do not add software to college computers
• Do not play computer games in college
• Use college antivirus software to check your computer files
