Keeping You Safe
- The college IT system is for learning purposes
- The college will check you are safe on the internet
- Be cautious when giving out your name, phone number or address online
- Do not use offensive websites
- Only meet people from the internet if your tutor agrees
- Tell a member of staff immediately if you see an offensive website or receive an email or message that you are worried about
Respecting Other People
- All IT messages should be responsible
- Do not use offensive language
- Do not try to log on using somebody else's details
- Photos and film of people at college should not be used outside of college
- It is ok to use social media sites but not in classrooms
- Give up a college computer if you are asked to by a member of staff
Respecting the College IT Systems
- Do not connect your laptop to the college network using a cable
- Do not add software to college computers
- Do not play computer games in college
- Use college antivirus software to check your computer files
